12-month gun raffle to benefit SEMO Peer Support Team
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The SEMO Peer Supports team is hosting a monthly gun raffle, the gun raffle will run for 12 months raffling away one firearm a month.
Officer Bobby Newton explains what the SEMO Peer Support team does for the City of Cape Girardeau and surrounding counties.
“So the SEMO Peer Support Team was created to help first responders across all agencies we serve several,” said Newton. “Any time there’s a crisis that the officers or the first responders respond to there’s times we need to assist them with peer support, or if somebody’s struggling financially, we have resources available for that as well. Just any type of resources they may need we are able to assist.”
Each month the SEMO Peer Support Team will raffle away a different gun every month, and if your ticket gets pulled that ticket goes back in the bucket for the next months raffle.

- March 2025 – $500.00 Giftcard to Shooters Cape Girardeau
- April 2025 – Rossi R92 Carbine .45 Colt Lever
- May 2025 – Rock Island M1911-A1 G1.45 ACP
- June 2025 – Beretta A300 Max7 12G
“This is one time that you know that you’re truly servicing our community, and the service of that community is often overlooked,” said Dr. Shannon Farris a co-responder with the department.
The organization will sell a maximum of 300 tickets for the gun auction with tickets at $40 a piece.
One random ticket will be drawn every third Thursday of each month, and you must be 21 years of age to purchase a raffle ticket.
