Cape Girardeau Police Department hosts Leopold R-III students for tour

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Police Department welcomed 1st and 2nd grade students from Leopold R-III School District for a tour of its facility today.

During the tour, students received a behind-the-scenes look at the police department, including a viewing of the Special Response Team vehicles and gear, presented by Lt. Brad Smith.

Additionally, students met K9 Ella, introduced by Corporal Spencer, and K9 Chief, introduced by Patrolman Newton.

The police department expressed its enthusiasm for inspiring the future generation.
