Cape Girardeau Police Department to host community Easter celebration

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Police Department is inviting community members to attend an Easter celebration at its police substation.

Officials said the family-friendly event will give residents an opportunity to meet local officers, enjoy Easter-themed treats and participate in activities for children.

Attendees will also have the chance to take photos and spend time with officers outside of emergency situations.

Police officials said the event is intended to help strengthen connections between officers and the community.
