Cape Girardeau police investigating after 2 homes, 2 vehicles struck by bullets

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau police are investigating after two homes and two vehicles were struck by bullets late Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 900 block of Jefferson for a ShotSpotter activation around 20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25.
Officers found two homes in the 1000 block of Jefferson that appeared to have been struck by bullets, according to Cape Girardeau police.
There were people inside both homes at the time of the shooting. However, no injuries were reported.
Two vehicles parked in the 1000 block of Jefferson also appeared to have been struck by bullets.
There was no one inside the vehicles at the time and no injuries reported.
Officers collected multiple pieces of evidence from the scene.
ShotSpotter indicated 37 total shots were fired.
The investigation continues.
