Cape Girardeau police investigating shots fired
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau police are investigating after a receiving a report of shots fired Wednesday night.
Bobby Newton, the public information officer for the Cape Girardeau Police Department, says officers responded to the 1400 block of Whitener for a report of shots fired around 10:30 p.m.
Officers found evidence of shots fired in the area. Officer Newton says one residence was struck by gunfire.
Police are investigating to determine how many shots were fired.
No one has been arrested. No injuries were reported.
