Cape Girardeau police investigating shots fired at apartment

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau police are investigating after an apartment was damaged by gunshots.

Police responded to the 2800 block of Whitener Street on Wednesday, June 14 at approximately 5:20 a.m.

The victim reported shots had been fired outside an apartment building.  Officers discovered a window had been damaged.

No reports of injuries were recorded.

Cape Girardeau Police Department has an ongoing investigation.
