Cape Girardeau police release surveillance video of vehicles stolen from Cape Girardeau car dealership

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – One person is in custody after seven vehicles were stolen from a car dealership in Cape Girardeau.

It happened at the Morlan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership on Siemers Drive.

Police officers responded to the 300 block of Siemers Drive on Thursday, October 12 at 6:45 a.m. for a report of a burglary.

The showroom window was damaged.

A total of seven vehicles with an estimated value of $850,000 were stolen. Three of the seven stolen vehicles have been recovered.

Officer Bobby Newton says, “I’ve worked here ten years and to my knowledge this is the first time we’ve had a major theft of that amount that significant.”

The remaining four vehicles are a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX.

The vehicles were entered into a National Law Enforcement Database after the theft.
