CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Riverfront Flea Market is expanding its upcoming September event after a sinkhole affected part of the event area.
Organizers said a sinkhole is located at the bottom of the Boardman Pavilion parking lot. With vendor spaces already sold out in the larger lot, organizers met with the City of Cape Girardeau and determined that two lots will be used for the Saturday, Sept. 26, event.
The Broadway and Main Street lot will also be used as part of the flea market.
Additional vendor spaces are now available for booking, according to organizers.
