Cape Girardeau sophomore sets school record, ranks among state’s fastest

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A Cape Girardeau High School sophomore set a new school record in the 100-meter dash, according to Cape Tiger Athletics.

Taraji Riley posted a time of 11.80 seconds, breaking the previous record after tying it last year.

Officials said the time ranks No. 2 in Missouri across all classes and No. 1 in Class 4.

School officials congratulated Riley on the achievement.
