Cape Girardeau Welcomes Man Canoeing over 4,000 Miles
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Thorin Loeks, an adventurer and artist, is on an extraordinary journey paddling over 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean in his Canoe.
Loeks stopped in Cape Girardeau, and shares his experiences and his music talents with the community. Loeks was raised in the Yukon Territory in Canada. His father owned a canoe guiding company and his mother was a Broadway singer.
Loeks found his passion on the river, dropping three records and 15 different songs during his journey.
Loeks mission across this journey is to inspire others to pursue their dreams, rather that be through music, passions, story telling, and more. He hopes his journey helps others keep pushing towards their dream.
Thor ended up staying in Cape Girardeau for almost a week due to high winds on the river, he played several pop up shows downtown.
