Cape Riverfront Market to host youth entrepreneurship festival June 6

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Riverfront Market will host a Youth Entrepreneurship Festival on June 6 aimed at supporting young business owners.
The event, known as the Future Makers Market, will run from 8 a.m. to noon at 35 S. Spanish St. and will feature local youth entrepreneurs showcasing and selling their products.
Organizers said the event is designed to encourage entrepreneurship among young people by providing a platform to launch small businesses and gain community exposure.
Sponsors SendAFriend and The Bank of Missouri will award one $1,000 grand prize and two $500 grants to selected participants ages 13 to 18 from Missouri and Illinois.
Winners will be announced during the event and will also receive booth space at the market and recognition on social media.
The Cape Riverfront Market operates weekly from May through October in downtown Cape Girardeau.
