Car seat check safety event
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A car seat safety check event is happening on Friday, October 25th, 2024.
According to studies done by AAA 46% of car seats are installed incorrectly which means seats aren’t as safe as they are designed to be if they aren’t installed properly. AAA recommends getting a car seat check done regularly to ensure maximum safety.
A car seat check safety event will be held at Cape Girardeau Fire Department Station #1.
On October 25th, 2024, from 10:00 am-12:00pm newly trained Child Passenger Safety Technicians with the Cape Girardeau Safe Communities Program will be available to check car seats to complete their certification with the help of their instructor.
