Carbondale “At the Table” series to mark Black History Month Feb. 3

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale and the Carbondale Branch NAACP will celebrate Black History Month during the Carbondale “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue series on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Carbondale Civic Center.

The “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue series is held on the first Tuesday of each month through June. The series brings together discussions on culture, history and racial healing through facilitated conversations that encourage community members from diverse backgrounds to engage in dialogue while sharing a meal provided by Smokin K’s BBQ and Cajun Cuisine.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner and dialogue beginning at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited, and registration is required online.
