Carbondale Community High School unveils Career and Technical Education building

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale Community High School District 165 celebrated the addition of its new Career and Technical Education Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.

The event showcased the school’s programs, including its CNA training, and highlighted the positive impact it has had on students.

Melanie Nelson, CNA program instructor, emphasized the importance of compassion in healthcare, saying, “I can teach your hands to do anything, but my goal is to teach your heart…if you care about those you’re providing care to, it makes a positive difference in their lives every day.”

The new facility is expected to further enhance the school’s career and technical education programs, benefiting both students and the community.
