Carbondale crews work overnight to clear roads after winter storm

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale is thanking its Maintenance and Environmental Services crews for working overnight to clear roads following Monday night’s winter weather.

City officials said seven salt trucks and snowplows were deployed around midnight to treat streets and improve travel conditions for Tuesday morning.

Leaders also expressed appreciation for the crews who worked through the night to keep roads passable as temperatures dropped and snowfall accumulated.
