Carbondale Fire Department to dedicate new Engine 6 on May 22

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The Carbondale Fire Department will host a dedication ceremony for its new fire truck, Engine 6, on Thursday, May 22 at 3 p.m. at Fire Station #1.

The ceremony will include a traditional fire truck push-in ceremony, which symbolizes unity, teamwork and dedication. The event will also feature a ceremonial washing down of the new fire truck and a public radio transmission announcing the unit’s availability for service.

The community is invited to attend and participate in the ceremony, which will include tours of the new fire truck.
