CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale Fire Department Local 1961 is selling apparel through Sept. 15 to raise awareness and support for breast cancer patients in Southern Illinois.
The fundraiser offers short-sleeve T-shirts for $25, long-sleeve T-shirts for $30, and, for the first time this year, embroidered beanies for $20. Items are available in a variety of sizes.
All proceeds benefit the SIH Cancer Institute Patient Care Support Fund, which provides assistance to breast cancer patients across the region.
“We are grateful for the community’s continued support of this effort,” the department said in a statement. “Every purchase directly helps local patients in their fight against breast cancer.”
