Carbondale man arrested after calls of shots fired

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A Carbondale man faces charges after police were called about a person shooting a gun.

Carbondale police officers responded to the 500 block of East Walnut on Feb. 18 at 4:56 p.m.

Officers found the suspect identified as Aidyn J. Finney, 18, of Carbondale.

Finney faces charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, according to the police department.

Finney was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
