Carbondale man arrested after stabbing

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A man was arrested after a stabbing Tuesday afternoon.
Linza Russell, 62, of Carbondale faces a charge of aggravated domestic battery.
Carbondale police officers responded to a business in the 100 block of East Jackson Street on Tuesday, September 12 at 3:17 p.m. regarding a report of a stabbing that just occurred.
Officers arrived and found the victim had suffered a serious but non-life-threatening stab wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police say Russell left the scene in his vehicle.
Officers found and arrested him in the 1200 block of East Grand Avenue.
The investigation into the incident is currently active and ongoing.
