Carbondale man arrested, charged with aggravated battery, drug offenses

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Police responded to a report of an unconscious person on North Washington Street around 10:28 p.m. on March 3.

The victim had been battered and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Tyrique T. Williams, 24, of Carbondale, was charged with aggravated battery, manufacture/delivery of look-alike-controlled substances and resisting a peace officer after a brief foot chase.

Williams was found with suspected narcotics and was jailed in the Jackson County Jail.
