Carbondale man arrested on domestic violence and weapons charges

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A Carbondale man has been arrested following a domestic violence investigation that involved a firearm, according to the Carbondale Police Department.

At approximately 10:49 a.m. on Oct. 23, officers met with a victim who reported being battered and threatened with a gun inside a residence in the 300 block of West College Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives later obtained search and arrest warrants for Seth L. Creasy-Constantine, 32, of Carbondale, on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

Creasy-Constantine was arrested after leaving the home on foot, police said. During a search of the residence, officers recovered a firearm. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail, pending a detention hearing.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
