Carbondale man charged in single-vehicle crash on East Grand Ave

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A single-vehicle crash on East Grand Avenue on Feb. 12, 2025, sent a 28-year-old Carbondale man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the crash at 5:27 p.m. and found a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, Victor M. Vazquez-Gonzalez, was charged with driving without a valid license, disregarding a stop sign, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and driving without insurance.

He was released pending a court appearance.
