Carbondale man facing weapons charges

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A Carbondale man faces weapons charges after police responded to a report of someone threatened with a firearm.
Police officer responded to the 600 block of North Springer Street around 2 a.m. on June 26.
Brandon J. McDade, 40, of Carbondale faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
He is accused of threatening an acquaintance with a firearm. The firearm was found to be stolen out of another jurisdiction, according to Carbondale police.
McDade was taken to the Jackson County Jail. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
