Carbondale man with felony faces possession of a firearm charge

Carbondale. Ill. (KBSI) – A man is being charged for threatening a victim with a gun.

On November 23, 2023 at 4:58 p.m. officers with the Carbondale Police Department arrived at the 500 block of East Sycamore Street in Carbondale regarding a disturbance.

Larry M. Williams, age 40, of Carbondale, pointed a firearm at, and threatened to harm a victim during an argument.

Officers recovered the gun and arrested Williams for unlawful Use or Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Williams is being held in the Jackson County Jail.

There were no injuries reported and the investigation is still ongoing.
