Carbondale police clear scene on South Graham after early-morning response

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale police cleared the scene early Friday after responding to an incident in the 500 block of South Graham Avenue.

Officers issued an alert shortly before 5 a.m., advising the public of their presence in the area, located a few blocks west of Carbondale Fire Station No. 1. Police emphasized was no threat to the public.

A second alert, sent shortly after 6 a.m., stated that officers had cleared the scene.

Police say a full news release with additional information will be issued later.
