Carbondale police investigate pedestrian-vehicle collision
CARBONDALE, Mo. (KBSI) – On October 9, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Carbondale police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the 1200 block of West Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers found the pedestrian in the roadway with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim was transported to the emergency room for medical treatment.
The driver, who cooperated with the investigation, was uninjured.
Preliminary findings indicate the pedestrian entered the roadway outside a designated crosswalk area.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The incident prompted a Civic Alert regarding lane closures during the investigation.
