Carbondale police look for man accused of vehicle burglary

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – Carbondale police are looking for a Chicago man accused of burglary and weapons charges after police in Carbondale investigated a vehicle burglary.

Kendal A Burke, 37, of Chicago faces burglary, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and no valid firearm owner’s identification charges.

Carbondale police responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane on Sept. 22 at 1:50 p.m. in reference to a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle.

Police say the suspect entered someone’s vehicle and stole a firearm.

Burke’s bond is set at $100,000 bond.
