Carbondale police receive canine first aid training, medical equipment donation

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – The Carbondale Police Department Canine Unit recently received training in canine first aid.

Dr. Troop of Troop Veterinary Services conducted the training on August 8.

The police department received medical equipment to be used in the event their canine partners suffer serious injury while in the line of duty. The equipment was purchased through fundraising efforts by the Radio Station WJPF and Tom Miller, host of the Miller in the Morning Show.
