Carbondale police seek public’s help in locating suspect
CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The Carbondale Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Brian K. Adams, 43, of Carbondale, who is wanted on a warrant for residential burglary and vehicle theft.
On July 9, police responded to a report of a residential burglary and vehicle theft in the 500 block of Deer Trail. Investigators determined that the burglary and theft occurred around 11:24 p.m. on July 8.
Adams and Gerald D. Stroud, 40, of Vergennes, Illinois, were identified as suspects. Stroud was arrested on July 9 in the 700 block of East Main Street and is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
The police department obtained an arrest warrant for Adams, who may be in the O’Fallon, Illinois area. Officers have recovered the stolen vehicle and some of the victim’s property.
