Carbondale police seek public’s help locating missing woman

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — City of Carbondale Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Carbondale woman.
Police said Adora M. Mays, 65, was last in contact with family members on Nov. 30, 2025. Officers were notified of her disappearance on Jan. 10, 2026.
Mays is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 75 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. She is confined to a wheelchair and has a medical condition that places her in danger. She was last known to be wearing a gray shirt and pink pants. No photo is currently available, police said, but an updated release will be issued if one is obtained.
Police said Mays is known to frequent the 200 block of South Lewis Lane in Carbondale.
