Carbondale, SIU to host July 4 fireworks display

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale and Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host a fireworks display on July 4 at 9:15 p.m. on the SIU campus.

Spectators are advised to park in Banterra Center parking lots 18 and 56. Overflow parking will be directed to lot 89.

Vendors will offer food and treats before the fireworks begin.

Road closures will start at 6 p.m. In case of rain, the display will be postponed to July 5.
