Carbondale supports clean energy workforce development

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — As a designated Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) Workforce Hub region, Carbondale is committed to supporting Illinois’ transition to clean energy and providing jobs in the field.

To better understand working conditions and job quality in Illinois’ solar industry, the Climate Jobs Institute at the University of Illinois is conducting a statewide study.

Solar workers, contractors, and employers are invited to participate in a 15–20-minute survey, which includes a $15 gift card, or an optional one-hour interview, which includes a $60 gift card.

All participation is voluntary and confidential. Findings will help shape state workforce development and inform clean energy policies.
