CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale and the Survivor Empowerment Center will mark Women’s History Month during the next “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue on Tuesday, March 3, at the Carbondale Civic Center.

The theme for the March event is “250 Years of Her Story: Strength, Survival, and Solidarity.” Organizers say the discussion will focus on key movements, landmark legislation and survivor stories that have shaped women’s rights across generations.

The Dinner & Dialogue series is held on the first Tuesday of each month through June. The program features facilitated conversations on topics including culture, history and racial healing while participants share a meal provided by Cristaudo’s Café & Bakery.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the program begins at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited, and registration is encouraged.

The series is supported by Healing Illinois, a racial healing initiative of the Illinois Department of Human Services in partnership with The Field Foundation of Illinois and the Southern Illinois Community Foundation.
