Carrier Mills man arrested on methamphetamine charge

CARRIER MILLS, Ill., (KBSI) — A 911 call led police to a Carrier Mills residence on Feb. 5, where an officer arrested a man wanted on an active warrant.

While taking the suspect into custody, the officer noticed Jose A. Ramos, 65, place his hand under a chair cushion. The officer instructed Ramos to stand and found four plastic baggies suspected to contain methamphetamine.

Ramos was arrested and taken to the Saline County Jail, where he was cited for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Ramos is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
