Carrying on a legacy of courage: Faughn joins the Metropolis Fire Department

METROPOLIS, Ill., (KBSI) — The Metropolis Fire Department welcomed its newest member, Connor Faughn, who follows in the footsteps of his late father, Mark “Fudd” Faughn, a veteran engineer with the department.

Connor’s father was a dedicated firefighter who lost his battle with cancer, leaving a legacy of courage and service. The department is proud to have Connor carry on his father’s tradition.

“I am honored to welcome Connor to our family,” said Chief Tolbert. “We are grateful to have him join us in our mission, and I know his father would be proud to see this moment.”
