Carterville man faces firearms, drug charges in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A Carterville man faces firearms and drug charges.

Carbondale police were called to the 800 block of North Wall Street on Thursday, April 11 at 5:15 p.m. for a report of a passenger in a vehicle that was displaying a firearm

Officers found the vehicle and stopped the vehicle.

During the investigation, officers arrested Isaiah A. King, 19, of Carterville. Police say he was in possession of a loaded firearm and a controlled substance.

King faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
