Caruthersville police seek owner of vehicle left in roadway

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) – Caruthersville police are seeking to speak with the owner of a vehicle found abandoned late Monday night in the middle of Third Street.

According to the Caruthersville Police Department, officers located a Lexus sedan parked in the roadway. The vehicle was registered to Kilton Hampton, of Parkin, Arkansas. Police said Hampton was reportedly riding in another vehicle at the time with Timothy Dean, of Jonesboro.

Officers secured the Lexus and recovered a 30-round Glock magazine left inside the vehicle. Police said the magazine was taken into evidence for safekeeping.

The department is asking Hampton to contact Cpl. Corey Vaughn to retrieve his vehicle and property and to answer questions related to the incident.
