Case declared Nolle Presequi in Jackson County

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – The case against a man who had faced an aggravated battery to a pregnant person charge has been declared Nolle Presequi.

Nolle Presequi is an entry made upon the records of a court when the plaintiff or prosecutor will proceed no further in a suit or action.

It was dismissed in February, according to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Brian W. Swain had faced an aggravated battery to a pregnant person charge, but it was declared Nolle Presequi.
