CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri will host its fifth annual Mississippi Mingle on June 6 in downtown Cape Girardeau.
The family-friendly event, held in partnership with Knights of Columbus Councils 1111 and 11205, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knights Hall, 318 S. Spanish St.
Organizers said the event will feature barbecue and fish fry meals, live music, food trucks, carnival games, adult beverages and other activities.
“Summer in Cape Girardeau is the perfect backdrop for an afternoon that brings together the Knights of Columbus, our supporters, and the broader community around something that matters — serving others,” Ken Palermo, CEO of Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri, said in a statement.
Proceeds from the event will support the organization’s six programs serving residents across the 39 southernmost counties in Missouri, including programs for veterans, individuals with developmental disabilities and residents of LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home.
Tickets are $10 and include one drink ticket. Children younger than 5 will be admitted free. Tickets are available online and at the gate.
Organizers said sponsorship opportunities are also available.
