Catholic priest speaks on his time learning the spirituality of Native American culture

PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KBSI)- A spiritual director of the Association of the Miraculous Medal discussed the spirituality of Native Americans and his experiences with them.
Fr. Clayton Kilburn spent twenty three years on the Hopi reservations, that is surrounded by the much larger Navajo reservations, where Kilburn ministered, learning from the culture.
He says, “While we reflect upon how Native Americans practice their spirituality, is to think about the way we live our spirituality as Christians also, and maybe it can strengthen our own practice of our faith at the same time.”
Kilburn says he wants to bring awareness to the over 470 recognized tribes of Native American people and their culture.
