Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry begins annual yard sale fundraiser
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry kicked off its annual yard sale fundraiser at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Thursday.
The sale features clothes, household items, movies, games, and more. All the proceeds from the sale will help the food pantry’s operations. The pantry serves about 640 families every month.
Food pantry director Jim Keusenkothen said this sale is a way to put faith into action.
“What we talk about over at our church building, this is putting the rubber to the road so to speak where we are actually helping people out, and these volunteers that we have are the most awesome people in the world to be around, and that’s just what they want to do, they want to help people,” he said.
The sale will run through Saturday. Hours are 8 am to 4 pm on Friday and 7 am to noon on Saturday.
