Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ to receive honorary doctoral degree at SEMO commencement
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University will hold its spring commencement ceremonies on May 10, honoring 1,565 graduates.
The university will confer a total of 1,565 degrees, including 963 undergraduate, 573 master’s and 29 specialist degrees.
Cedric “The Entertainer” Kyles, a 1987 SEMO graduate, will receive an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degree during the 10 a.m. ceremony. He will also serve as commencement speaker.
Kyles is a renowned actor and comedian, currently starring in the CBS Television hit comedy “The Neighborhood.”
Dr. Thomas Holman, a professor of sport management at SEMO, will speak at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
