Chaffee boutique gives back to Jackson High School Project Graduation

CHAFFEE, Mo. (KBSI) – A formal boutique in Chaffee teamed up with Jackson High School to give back to students.

J.Maries Formal Affairs is giving 10% of profits back to Jackson High School when prom goes rent their formal attire from the business.

High school junior Sofia Gibson spent over two hours looking for the perfect prom dress Thursday morning in preparation for her special night.

“I’ve tried on probably 7 or 8,” she says while twirling in a bright red dress.

J. Maries assistant manager Ali Dirnberger said they wanted to be a part of Jackson’s giveback prom program.

Dirnberger says the program will benefit both the business and the school.

Owner Jodie Schott heard about a wonderful cause from her cousin Kristi Uhrhan, who has a senior at Jackson High School, said Schott.

Project Graduation is providing a safe – alcohol free alternative to a senior party.  JHS students have been loyal, supportive clients of J Marie’s Formal Affairs since 2015 and with the upcoming prom season, this was the perfect opportunity to show our support and gratitude, said Schott.

Regardless of what school they are from, J. Maries Formal Affairs wants all students to look their best.

Prom dresses and tuxedoes start around $100 and go up from there depending on styles.
