Charleston man arrested for alleged threat at Cape Girardeau SportsPlex

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A Charleston, Missouri, man faces a felony charge of terroristic threat after allegedly threatening to shoot up the Cape Girardeau SportsPlex.

Mackenzie Ivy, 32, was arrested Sunday at the SportsPlex after a physical altercation involving about 50 people.

Witnesses told police Ivy said, “I’ll shoot this place up” before leaving the area.

Police found a 9mm handgun in Ivy’s vehicle.

Ivy is being held on $50,000 cash-only bond.

The Cape Girardeau County Prosecutors Office formally charged Ivy.
