CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Charleston man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday after he sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant.

U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. sentenced Adrian L. Lewis, 43, to 10 years in prison.

Lewis pleaded guilty in May to one count of distribution of methamphetamine.

He admitted to selling two ounces of meth to a confidential informant working for the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force on October 10, 2023.

Lewis was deemed a “career offender” due to prior drug offenses.

The Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Hunter prosecuted the case.
