Charleston teen arrested following stolen vehicle pursuit

CHARLESTON, Mo., (KBSI) – The Charleston Department of Public Safety reports that an 18-year-old from Charleston has been arrested in connection with a vehicle pursuit that began in East Prairie last month.
According to the department, on September 28, 2025, officers pursued a vehicle reported stolen in East Prairie, Missouri. The vehicle eventually stopped, and several occupants fled on foot. None were apprehended at the time.
Following a lengthy investigation, one of the suspects, Tayden Miller, 18, of Charleston, was identified and later arrested by the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant stemming from the investigation.
Miller is being held in the Mississippi County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond. He faces charges of aggravated fleeing and tampering with evidence.
Authorities said additional charges and arrests are expected in Charleston and neighboring jurisdictions as the investigation continues.
