CHS student makes cover of Show Me Art Magazine

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Cape Central High School student is being recognized for her talent.
Caitlin Hills work of art has been selected for the Fall 2024 cover of Show Me Art Magazine.
Her mixed media watercolor artwork, titled America’s Future, was chosen as the top entry from across the entire state of Missouri.
This isn’t first award Hill has received. Shes received several awards throughout the year and designed the poster for CHS Theater’s production of Miss Holmes and is currently completing her AP Art + Design portfolio as she prepares to compete in more contests this year.
Several other CHS students has artwork displayed in the magazine as well for different accomplishments.
Jaedyn Hethcote for winning the 2024 Governor’s choice award during the Youth Art Month celebration and Kayonna Cobb for her legacy project while painting ceiling tiles.
The CHS Art Program encourages all students to explore their creativity but also provides a platform for talented artists to thrive.
