Church sewing group donates 60 handmade quilts to Saint Francis NICU

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A local sewing group has donated 60 handmade quilts to help provide comfort to babies and families receiving care at Saint Francis Healthcare System.

The Saint Francis Foundation announced Monday that the Power House of God Sit and Sew Group donated the quilts to patients and families in the hospital’s Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

The handmade quilts will be given to NICU patients and their families during their time at Saint Francis.

The foundation thanked the group for its donation and said the quilts will provide comfort to families receiving care in the NICU.
