City of Cape truck crashes into Cape Girardeau home’s garage

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, emergency services responded to a crash on Walden Boulevard in Cape Girardeau.

A City of Cape Girardeau utility truck veered off the road and collided with a residential garage in the Walden Park subdivision.

According to authorities, the driver, a city utility worker, suffered a medical emergency while driving, causing the accident.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
