JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – City of Jackson residents are asked to conserve water.

The City of Jackson connected its water system to Cape Girardeau’s water system Monday night through a mutual aid agreement.

Jackson residents are asked to make every effort to conserve water so water pressure can be maintained in the system.

This cooperative action will allow the city of Jackson to continue to assist Cape Girardeau in delivery of adequate water to its customers, particularly for critical services.

Jackson residents are asked to continue water conservation efforts until further notice.
